After receiving a major makeover, just the last year, GMC is now presenting the 2022 model year edition of its Yukon series only with some minor changes. It will include mostly an upgrade at the tech front on all the trim levels that construct the current year lineup. Thus the 2022 model year version of the GMC Yukon now comes with a bigger 12.0-inch screen to display the Driver Information content and information while an entirely new infotainment interface joins the list of changes that differentiates the 2022 model year edition of the GMC Yukon series from its last year specifications.

The 2022 model year lineup of GMC Yukon continues to spread across four unique trim levels, namely the SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali, stacking up layers of comfort and convenience features, as well as stepping up towards higher quality of materials and performance abilities.

To describe the 2022 GMC Yukon, one can term it safely as one of the roomiest three-row crossover SUVs, which the Yukon XL version is made purposefully to offer its users greater legroom and bigger space for the cargo items.

Available Feature Packages

The 2022 Yukon from GMC is still available in four distinctively identifiable trim levels that keep stacking up more and more goodies to justify the additional price tags. At the base lies the SLE trim that comes configured as a rear-wheel-drive model. The SLT trim that comes at the next higher price offer greater comfort while the off-road-oriented AT4 trims are configured as AWD by the standard rule. GMC also recommends the drive-enthusiasts get the optional magnetic ride control installed on any of these trims to get better control of the vehicle because of the enhanced grip on the road surface that it brings.

At the top of the entire lineup range comes the Denali which can be safely tagged as luxurious. The trim already has the Magnetic Ride Control system as standard while you can choose any drivetrain of your choice for this trim as per your preferences.

Engine Configurations

The 2022 GMC Yukon series that is built up with four trims SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali come powered by different powertrain components. The first three trims are given a 5.3L V8 engine that is also the standard one for the entire series. This engine is capable of churning out 355 and an engaging drive experience, while the range-topping Denali trim gets a 6.2L V8 engine exclusively to move with 420 hp. However, the AT4 trim buyers can also go for the 6.2-liter V8 engine as an optional upgrade. Note that all the engine variants of the 2022 GMC Yukon get the same 10-speed automatic transmission to pair with, added the sales team leader of the Idaho Falls GMC dealership.
